The FPA has standing councils and committees to assist in the development of association policy and activities, as well as to better serve the FPA membership. In addition to the standing councils, there are opportunities for members to serve on the Advisory Council on Pharmacy Practice and the Budget and Finance Committee.
Additional committees are comprised of appointed members charged with leadership-based responsibilities at the association level.
GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
The Governmental Affairs Council (GAC) is charged with providing guidance to the FPA Board of Directors on legislative or regulatory issues.
EDUCATIONAL AFFAIRS COUNCIL
The Educational Affairs Council proposes policy and programs designed to provide quality continuing education to the pharmacists and technicians of Florida.
MEMBERSHIP AFFAIRS COUNCIL
The Membership Affairs Council Facilitates the FPA recruitment and retention programs as well as oversees the activities of the #1 Club.
ORGANIZATIONAL AFFAIRS COUNCIL
The Organizational Affairs Council considers issues pertaining to the structure, function and development of the Association including membership issues.
PROFESSIONAL AFFAIRS COUNCIL
The Professional Affairs Council monitors issues of interest to the profession of pharmacy including legislative changes, Florida Board of Pharmacy law changes and interfaces with other professions as they relate to pharmacy.
PUBLIC AFFAIRS COUNCIL
The Public Affairs Council disseminates material relating to the practice of pharmacy to the public in order to enhance the image of the profession of pharmacy.
STUDENT AFFAIRS COUNCIL
The Student Affairs Council promotes and encourages student involvement in the FPA, and to serve as a liaison between the FPA and Florida Colleges of Pharmacy.
