Meet Our Frontline Heroes
Florida Pharmacy Association welcomes and appreciates pharmacists and their families. Dr. Almogaber is a Clinical Pharmacologist at Clinical Pharmacology Services in Tampa, FL. She is passionate about incorporating pharmacists’ unique clinical services in all health care settings. Also featured in her photo is Aiya’s boyfriend - James Garrick, who has become an honorary pharmacist and attends FPA events regularly!
As a clinical manager, working behind the scenes, I don’t get much direct patient care interaction these days. However, knowing that I try each and every day to facilitate resources and provide tools to help my front line pharmacists do their job with maximum quality makes me proud. I know my efforts transcribe into better quality of care for my patients and gives me comfort in knowing I am part of something bigger than myself.

My favorite quote is “I care. I care a lot. It’s kinda my thing,” and I believe this embodies my personality because I care deeply about people and genuinely want to see everyone be able to live a better life. I am excited for a career in pharmacy and being able to help patients in nontraditional ways!

As an independent retail pharmacy owner and manager, I am proud to be a respected member of the healthcare team in my rural, underserved, community. Having the opportunity to care for my life-long friends and family while working in tandem with our physicians is both humbling and rewarding.
I'm a proud member of FPA because I'm involved in making an impact to patients' lives on a larger scale.
We recognize the changes that need to be made for the betterment of our patients and how a pharmacist can be at the forefront of that change to improve access to quality healthcare.
In 2010, Dr. Norman Ruiz-Castañeda received his Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) from The University of Florida, College of Pharmacy. Dr. Norman’s pharmacy career began in the community retail setting and transitioned into independent pharmacy, specializing in compounding for the past 12 years. He is currently working towards his Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative Medicine (FAARM) with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). With his extensive education and experience, Dr. Norman is able to tailor his patient’s treatments with a personable individualized approach. Focusing on integrative medicine and a relationship with the patient’s doctor; he consults and treats each patient with their unique plan. This sets the foundation to better position his patient’s in achieving optimal health by incorporating disease management, hormonal balance, weight-loss and overall well-being.
I love being a pharmacist, especially in a non-traditional practice setting. I find fulfillment in using my creativity and innovation at a population level to effect change on a larger scale. It’s gratifying to apply my pharmacy expertise to guide the development of programs which optimize patient care and improve clinical outcomes. My training also affords me the opportunity to care for my loved ones in a very personal and rewarding way.
