We are kicking off part two where pharmacy technicians will gain a clear understanding of compounding pharmacy, including the critical distinctions between sterile and non-sterile compounding practices. Participants will  clarify what their  essential role is in maintaining compliance with USP Chapter 797 and USP Chapter 795, focusing on recent regulatory changes and their impact on daily operations. The session will emphasize the importance of aseptic techniques, proper garbing, and environmental control in sterile compounding to uphold patient safety. Additionally, attendees will learn to identify and prevent common compounding errors, ensuring medication integrity and reducing the risk of contamination. By the end of the webinar, technicians will be equipped with the knowledge and best practices needed to enhance their proficiency and contribute to safer pharmacy operations.

  • Define compounding pharmacy and distinguish between sterile and non-sterile compounding practices.
