FMA/FPA Joint Training on Collaborative Practice Agreements

Virtual on Zoom- November 15th, 2025

The Florida Pharmacy Association (FPA) and the Florida Medical Association (FMA) have partnered to deliver an essential training on Collaborative Practice Agreements (CPAs), highlighting the crucial role these agreements play in today’s healthcare landscape. This joint session is tailored to provide both pharmacists and prescribers with the tools and insights needed to successfully implement and manage CPAs to enhance patient care. Participants will explore the shared responsibilities between pharmacists and prescribers, the legal and regulatory requirements governing CPAs, and how effective collaboration can lead to improved patient outcomes. The training will also cover best practices for fostering strong professional relationships between pharmacists and prescribers in order to create a more integrated healthcare team.

Through this session, attendees will learn how to draft and negotiate CPAs, address potential challenges, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Pharmacists will gain an understanding of how to expand their role in clinical settings, while prescribers will learn how to leverage the expertise of pharmacists to optimize patient care. This training is essential for anyone interested in enhancing their understanding of collaborative practice agreements, whether you’re a pharmacist seeking to broaden your scope of practice or a prescriber aiming to improve patient outcomes through teamwork.
