Point of Care Test & Treat

This program meets the requirements outlined in Section 465.1895, Florida Statutes related to testing or screening for and treatment of minor, nonchronic health conditions.

The Test and Treat certificate program aligns with national educational standards, equipping pharmacists to offer point-of-care testing (POCT) and diagnostic services for minor, non-chronic health conditions. This practice-based curriculum, meeting the requirements of Section 465.1895, Florida Statutes, enables pharmacists to test, screen, and treat such conditions within established protocols supervised by licensed physicians. Participants gain expertise in identifying opportunities to enhance patient-centered services, performing physical assessments, and applying findings to patient cases across pharmacy settings.

  • The training will be held from 8:00AM to 5:00PM on 6/12/2024. This is a 20-hour course. 12 hours are self-paced with materials provided by NASPA. The remaining 8 hours will be live in person at the Tampa Marriott Waterstreet on 6/12/2024.

Please note that pre-registration is required, and the deadline for regular pricing ends on May 21. Extended pricing is allowed until June 1, 2024 at 5:00PM EST. No registration for this course will be allowed after this date and time. 

Cancellation Policy:  If cancellation is made in writing 30 days prior to the program a refund will be made less a $10 service charge. If cancellation is made 29-10 days prior to the program, a refund will be made, less a $50 service charge. Cancellation requested in writing after that date will result in credit for another FPA CE program valid for one year.
